Rosewood San Miguel de Allende is a luxurious hotel located in the heart of San Miguel de Allende, offering guests an amazing experience in all aspects of their stay. From the moment you arrive, you will feel like a special dignitary courtesy of the attentive staff who will go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The property is decorated with beautiful lavender bushes and olive trees, giving it an authentic Spanish Colonial feel.
Outstanding hotel and service. This was our first trip to the stunning San Miguel de Allande and we most definitely chose the best hotel. The decor, gardens and overall property and its services were outstanding. We had a personal assistant Sergio, who was so professional and had an eye for fine details. Truly 6 star service! The breakfast each morning was amazing, they also host a Sunday brunch, which was just incredible. We also dined on the destination rooftop restaurant Luna, with its fabulous view across the town. The service was top notch with a lovely Mediterranean / Mexican tapas menu. Our only personal niggle was the bed in our room was unusually firm, we mentioned it to housekeeping who then layered it with comforters to make it a bit softer. In our opinion they should replace these beds, as we didn’t sleep as well as we do in other 5 star hotels. We cant wait to return one day soon!Thank you

We didn't stay here as guests we just had lunch at a restaurant. One day we may stay there as the views were spectacular from the rooftop patio and the pools looked lovely. Beautifully kept gardens. The food in the restaurant was very good. Large portions and tasty! Reasonably priced.

We weren't guests of the hotel, but we had drinks and food on their top patio location. Beautiful vistas of San Miguel de Allende. A "must do" if you're in the area. One of the few locations that had elevators to their top roof patio spots. Most locations in Mexico are not easily accessible if you have mobility issues. One member in our party could easily get to the roof at Rosewood, unlike other spots... This place gets really crowded at sunset (which is definitely the location to see it). They take a few reservations, but most just stand in line and wait for a place to open up... The deck patio is huge, so there are lots of tables and you won't have to wait long... Great craft co*cktails, beer and wine. Food was upscale pub food that you'd find in the US... This is a great spot for gathering with ex-pat friends, but I didn't see many locals there. Service was attentive and available when you needed them.

AMAZING!!! The food, the drinks, the rooftop, the rooms, the service, the Sunday brunch. This place is magical. The gardens and landscaping are gorgeous. We booked a Jr. Ste and it was fantastic.

Unfortunately, we will not be returning to Rosewood San Miguel. I expected a luxury hotel experience with impeccable service, but this was not the case at all. While the property is beautiful, the service was severely lacking. We arrived before 3 pm and checked in around 1:30. The attendant outside assured us our bags would be taken care of, so we went to sit down. We were told a room was ready, received our keys, and a staff member escorted us to our room. However, two hours later, our luggage still hadn't arrived. After inquiring at the lobby, it took another 20 minutes for our bags to be delivered. The staff member who escorted us mentioned the spa, gym, and rooftop bar, but when we got to the room, he only showed us the AC and nothing else. When we tried to grab lunch at the rooftop bar, the attendant was rude and assumed we were not guests. Only after providing our room number did the attitude change, but there was no available seating in the shade despite the extreme heat.Later that evening, we stopped at the bar for dessert. The staff member there was helpful and offered a menu, but there were only two choices. He suggested we go to the rooftop and even called ahead for us. However, we ended up paying $80 for two cheesecakes and melted ice cream, which was disappointing. The room was clean, but the AC was set at 10 degrees and never got below 22. Additionally, the room had a terrible sewer smell. The next day, when I asked about breakfast options, all I was told was "the restaurant" with no further directions or suggestions. A quick overview of the property and amenities at check-in would have been appreciated.Overall, the poor service overshadowed the beautiful property. We were hoping for a luxurious experience but were left disappointed.

Truly beautiful rooms and grounds. Pools, amenities and rooftop restaurant stunning. Class of the field if you’re looking for a grand hotel experience. Concierge is solid. There are numerous beautiful boutique hotels in San Miguel for way less though if price is a concern and pool/space is not paramount for you. NOTE: Hotel charges you for “service,” which was annoying as we tipped throughout our stay not knowing this. With other taxes, you need to add 30% to the nightly room fee to understand actual cost.

We stayed in room131 which was good except for the very squeaky wooden floors. On our last day someone in the room above was moving furniture early on Sunday morning. Having lived in the Middle east for over 10 years, we were a bit disappointed with the Lebanese food in the top floor. The food downstairs and at the pool were excellent.

What a great property. The people are so welcoming and helpful.Centrally located food is amazing. Just don't order a glass of champagne without first asking the price. $200.00 a glass not a bottle.Only complaint of the whole trip!

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. We went with our seven year old who called it the perfect hotel. They have an excellent swimming pool and a superb kids club that our child wanted to go back to ASAP every morning. The rooms are amazing. We had a huge patio and a massive room. The staff was kind and very helpful. They all spoke English and were more than willing to help us find restaurants and reservations. I cannot say enough good things about it. It is situated close to great food, city sites, and shops. It is definitely pricey but well worth it.

Incredible place, architecture and design are just amazing. Why 4 stars not 5? Depends on your age group, most visitors are over 60 or family with kids and 99% americans. So if this is your type of crowd you will have a blast, because "old gringos" are quite friendly. If you are young and want to have a more "up beat" stay better go near downtown

Top notch service throughout the Rosewood. Generous pours in the rooftop bar, helpful pool and spa staff, very efficient and professional concierge and valet staff. The place is elegant and modern, and the hotel is conveniently located near the park and walking distance to the Jardin, boutiques and the wine shop down the road. Great views from the rooftop restaurant and we enjoyed the current modern art displays in the courtyard.

Food is outstanding !! We had an amazing lunch ! The quality of the food is what makes this hotel one of the best in San Miguel. Service is a little slow so be patient while waiting for your food. It’s worth it ! And if you want to walk around the common areas near the restaurants there is an employee that’s looking to bring you down. But all is good other than that !

Beautiful place with a well appointed rooftop bar. Service is 5 stars. The view is well worth the high prices.

Beautiful hotel and amazing restaurants and terrace bar. Best sunset in SMA. Food is fantastic and co*cktails are great. Wine list by the glass could definitely be better for am hotel if this category

I want to start off by saying everything about our hotel stay was impeccable. The hotel architecture is absolutely beautiful from A-Z!! We’ve stayed at many great hotels, but the service here was top-tier. No small detail was left out. Everyone in the hotel (and in the cute city of San Miguel) was so welcoming and friendly! The spa is a must as well, we went a couple of days and the services were also top tier. Bravo, Rosewood!

The Rosewood San Miguel de Allende is a remarkable haven of luxury and tranquility, offering an experience that goes beyond the expectations of even the most discerning guests. The hotel, nestled in the historic heart of downtown San Miguel de Allende, features beautifully appointed rooms and suites that perfectly capture the essence of a fine hacienda with wood-beamed ceilings, hand-carved furniture, and colors that reflect the rich hues of the town. The Rosewood San Miguel de Allende is not just a place to stay; it's a destination in itself, providing an immersive experience in the charm and beauty of this colonial town. Each suite, including those with their own rooftop and plunge pool, offers a unique blend of luxury and serenity, making them perfect for those seeking a private and exclusive retreat. The hotel's dining options, including a rooftop tapas bar and restaurants serving innovative Mexican cuisine, are among the best in the city, offering delightful culinary experiences. Moreover, the hotel's event spaces, spa, and fitness facilities add to its allure, making it ideal for various events and personal indulgence.

First positive. The staff was trained and very professional. The negative. It's not worth the price and I don't think it should qualify as fine hotels with Amex. My room was 900 usd a night and they couldn't accommodate me for 1 king bed. I was forced in to 2 queens. The 2 restaurants are okay but very expensive for what you get. The side elevators need updating. The rooms don't get clean until 2. The amenities are nice but not 5 star. I personally think Aqua is a better option for the same price.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay here. Good food and the day of the dead dinner party was awesome. Service is excellent. The only thing is, if you're not an American, you won't get priority as this hotel is mainly frequented by alot of Americans. Other than that, this is the place to be in San Miguel de Allende.

Definitely on top of my wedding venue list in Mexico. I recently photographed an amazing wedding of Kari and Mike here, it was simply breathtaking! What truly sets Hotel Rosewood apart for wedding photography is its extraordinary architecture. This hotel is a masterpiece of design, seamlessly blending classic Mexican colonial style with contemporary luxury. The details of the building, its ornate facades, arched walkways, and lush courtyards, provided a rich and captivating backdrop for our wedding photos. Needless to say, this backdrop added to the overall awesomeness - the couple looked absolutely stunning, surrounded by their loving families and closest friends, including their adorable kids who also had a blast. The hotel staff (especially Sergio and Andrea) were not only incredibly friendly but also super helpful in ensuring we got the best shots. They knew the property inside and out and were accompanying us during the whole day, assisting in everything and making sure everyone was comfortable and everything went smoothly. The icing on the cake was the perfect view of the iconic Parroquia from the hotel, especially from the reception area!In short, Rosewood is the perfect wedding venue for a destination wedding. If you're looking for a place that combines a fantastic setting with extraordinary architecture, friendly staff, and epic views for your photos, look no further. It's a gem in the heart of San Miguel de Allende!

Made detailed reservations for which they had no record. The young man took our names, our phone numbers and then confirmed the time and 5 people in our party. We left when they told us it would be an hour wait. We are old clients and we’re extremely disappointed.

This is probably my favorite hotel in town, and I’m not alone in that sentiment, I’m sure.First impression: beautiful façade and exceptionally friendly and professional valet. Valet parking is complimentary for the first 24 hours and they allow guests to have visitors. The service in the cafe downstairs is lovely while the ambiance is cozy yet refined, whereas as the connected lounge is expansive and luxurious - the perfect place to sip a coffee comfortably on a sofa with a pretty courtyard view. The rooms make you feel like you’re at home, but with room service and cleaning staff, plus a big bathtub to indulge in bubble baths. Our terrace had a lovely sky, hillside and bougainvillea view with minimal street noise as Rosewood is located at the end of a quaint and quiet street with a few other boutique hotels and restaurants.Their rooftop restaurant is delicious and expansive, but popular, so you may want to make a reservation ahead of time!
