MODOC Nils D. Miller, 84, of Modoc, passed away on Sunday, May 26. He was born in Bethel, Indiana on August 12, 1934, to Robert F. and Jo- sephine C. Burke Miller, both of whom preceded him in death.

He was a 1951 graduate of White- water High School. He entered the US Marine Corps in 1951. He married the former Jean Robertson on January 23, 1953. They were blessed with a daughter and shared 38 years together before her death on July 9, 1991. He later met and married the former Eileen Cooper on May 2, 1992.

Nils was a member of the International Broth- erhood of Teamsters. He worked in route sales and retired from Snack Food Co. after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Anti- och Christian Church in Losantville. He enjoyed reading, hunting, claybird shooting and fishing.

He bred and trained bird dogs and enjoyed teasing his friends and family. Nils is survived by his wife of 27 years, Eileen Miller, his daughter, Debra Wright husband, Dennis; children, Renee Ridge hus- band, Bill, Dawn Wooten husband, Marty, Julie Borhofen husband, Bob, Doug Shore wife, Darla; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sisters, Ann Miller, Florence Miller and Camilla Hill; brother, Kenneth Miller and several nieces nephews. Nils was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Jean Miller and brothers John Robert Miller and Fred Miller Family friends may gather for visitation from 11:00 pm on Saturday, June 1, at the Smith-McQuiston Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. A funeral ceremony will begin at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 1, at the funeral home, concluding with military rites by the Wayne County Honor Guard. Memorial contributions are encouraged for St.

He was born August 29, 1948 in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky to Emanuel and Bessie Hansel Mason and lived in this area most of his life. He was a self-employed plasterer and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He was a member of the Pentecostal Tabernacle. Robert was an avid hunter, woodworker and antique collector.

He loved children and was loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his mother Bessie Mason of New Paris, his friend for 11 years Joyce Covert of Muncie, six children Brian Mason of Hines- ville, Robert Lee Jr. (Wendy) Mason of Clay City, Bradley Durham of Myrtle Creek, Charlotte Crye of Clay City, Robin of Indianapolis, twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three brothers Larry (Betty) Mason of Shelbyville, Ronnie (Ann) Mason of Richmond, one sister Altheia Mason of New Paris, a special cousin and a million dollar blessing Martha Rose; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, one daugh- ter Linda Mason, one grandson Brandon Mason, two James Mason, Rodney Mason, one sister Judy Hannah. Services will be Saturday June 1, 2019 at the Pentecostal Tabernacle 480 West Eaton Pike, Richmond, Indiana 47374 with Pastor Daniel Ed- wards and Pastor Tyler Luck officiating; burial will be at Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris.

Al was a 1960 graduate of Dixon High School; he was a Special Deputy for the Preble County Sheriff Office; was a longtime Preble County farmer; co-owner of Bear Paw Concessions and Catering; was a former Dixon Township Trustee; and Past President of the Preble County Zoning Board of Appeals. Lauderdale, FL; daughters Marcy (Rich) Little of Eaton and Stacy (Jeff) Capek of Fishers, IN; stepson Wade (Melissa) Whitesell of Eaton; stepdaughter Wendy (Spencer) Decker of Eaton; grandchildren: Nathan Capek, Jack- son Capek, Alex Johnston, Abbi Whitesell, Alli Whitesell, Emma Arnett and Derek Decker; and nephews Brian (Lauren) Schamaun and Joshua Schamaun.

Hat- tie was born to Jesse and Mary Anthony Echard on October 4, 1916 in Brownsville, Indiana.

She lived in Brownsville and Liberty until mov- ing to Richmond in 1932, where she lived the remainder of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Charles, two sisters Emma and Edna; her husband Paul H. Bell, one daughter Barbara Daugherty, one son Paul E. Bell and two grand- children. She is survived by her son Tom Bell, two daugh- ters Pattie Toney and Sharon (Bob) McCormac, daughter-in-law Minnie Bell, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grand- children.

Hattie worked at lunch counter and Department Store, retiring from there at age 79. She lived independently until the age of 99 when she moved to Arbor Trace for min- imal assisted living. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble and any time spent with her family. She took many memorable trips including Seattle, Las Vegas, San Juan, St. Croix, several New England states, a Caribbean cruise and multiple trips to Hawaii and Florida.

Visitation for Hattie Bell will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Earlham Cemetery with Rev. Ted Chalk officiating.

Born January 6, 1924, in Richmond, Indiana, to John and Wilma E. Rob- inson Graham, Evelyn was a 1942 graduate of Richmond High School. She lived most of her life in Richmond except when she lived in Florida for 18 years. Evelyn retired in 1989 from Tropical Telco Federal Credit Union. She also was a former employee of Schuler Jewelry Company.

Evelyn was a member of the Wesleyan Church in Fountain City. She enjoyed crocheting, painting and crafts, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughters, Linda (Charles) Clark of Centerville, Indiana, and Suzanne Horney of Florida; three grandchildren, Brian Gibbs of California, Lisa (Danny) Newland of Richmond, and Lori (Ken) Braden of California; five great- grandchildren, Nick (Caitlin) Braden, Dan and Eli Braden, both of California, and Hannah and Jacob Newland, both of Richmond; great-great- grandchildren, Chloe Braden and River Newland; cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation for Evelyn L.
